Wonderful Gifts for Me from Lavendula Loveliness

If there is one blog that I visit all of the time, (sorry dear daughter, but you don't do yours every week), it is Lavendula Loveliness. Saying she is quite talented, is an understatement. I don't know where she finds the time to do all she does, as she also has other blogs . I admire everything she does. She was so kind to send me a few gifts. I just love them. It's a good thing the Post It Note Covers are refillable, or I would never use them, because the covers are too pretty. The covers are embossed. Absolutely beautiful! Please take the time to visit her blog. She has other blogs too.
When I opened the package, I received all of these!

She makes these beautiful Post It Note Covers. This one comes with a pencil.

Here is another Post It Note Cover without a pencil. I love the color and the design of the cover.

This is a note she sent to me—handmade of course. The note card is embossed.

I love this bookmark!

This is a gift tag. Gorgeous, isn't it?

Small Art Quilt II

I love reading both Cloth, Paper, Scissors and Quilting Arts Magazines. I’m not as talented as a lot of the artists in those magazines, but I thought I’d try something that wasn’t symmetrical. I’m used to having everything balanced and even—See my October 14, 2013 blog: 60th Wedding Anniversary Small Art Quiltso this was very new to me.

This small art quilt measures about 11” x 6 ½.”  Again, I used a transparency sheet for the “Angel Rose,” attached to a cotton fabric with rose buds. Then I sewed it on the muslin, with buttons, rickrack, and handmade roses. The back also is cotton fabric slightly larger than the front, so I can wrap it to the front to make it look like binding. In between is a thin cotton batting. I tried sewing a design with free motion, but I’m not very good at it—yet.
